The book ‘Roof Toppers’ is written by Katherine Rundell. It is about a young girl (Sophie) who was told that she was orphaned in a shipwreck but Sophie believes that her mother is still alive.  You can read about the adventure they have whilst they on the run from the authorities.

 

This book tells you that dreams are possible and even though people tell you they aren’t there is always a possibility. The book tries to get across that if you believe in something then don’t give up believing because it might still come true. Katherine Rundell has possibly aimed this book at children between 8-14.

 

I liked this book because it has a lot of things that you wouldn’t see in real life but they seem so real on paper. It lets your imagination go wild with all the possibilities that could happen. This book also can make you feel sorry for the characters at times but you still have all the excitement ahead of you making you wonder what will happen next.
