The Ten PM Question

The Ten P.M. Question is written by Kate De Goldi and is a book about all of the possible troubles that anyone could end up having how ever it keeps getting worse as the day goes on. This book could be for any reader however it is not the funniest of books and there aren't many laughs in it.

The ten P.M. question is all about a boy called Frankie Parsons and all of his troubles. It all starts on Tuesday the 14 of February and from the moment he wakes up every thing starts going wrong. The first problem that comes up is that there is not enough money in the piggy bank to pay his bus fare and there wasn't any food for his cat. The writer has written this all in the first paragraph to start building up a character and feelings for the reader.

But this is not the end of all his troubles as he then worries about a kidney shaped lump on his chest and then starts to worry if it is a harmless rash or a lump of cancer cells. This is used to start to get you worried and to start to make the reader realise how much is going on in Frankie’s life.

Even though this book starts off by one of the worst starts of the day Frankie’s aunts will always cheer you up, however it is up to you which one you chose that makes you laugh. However Frankie is not very fond of the aunts as they come around for dinner but often get on Frankie's nerves.

I would recommend this book to any young teenager as it has got a lot of funny moments in it that only young teenagers would appreciate. Another reason why I would recommend this book to teenagers is because it has some language and punctuation that people younger then that wouldn't understand. However this makes the book really nice and enjoyable to read.
